Lost in the Sky is the second Dream Theater concert in Italy. The last one was at Milan's Rolling Stone, in April 5th, 1993. This time, the concert is at Sesto San Giovanni's Palasesto (always in province of Milan). It is not the usual show that actually is at Assago's Forum, which one is a larger location, but it is quite suitable for an emerging band like Dream Theater.

The setlist is fabulous and the first song of it is Metropolis Part I, where Dream Theater never mistakes a note. The nex ones are the pleasure Afterlife and the perfect and clean Under a Glass Moon. I think Under a Glass Moon is one of the best song of this concert because of its execution.

Then, Wait for Sleep comes at the right moment. We can get relaxed for two minutes and half before Surrounded. The two songs are both by Kevin Moore and I think that the only wrong point could be James, who sounds to be in difficult in the high notes. Anyway, the strange aspect is that James himself does not sound to be in diffucult in Metropolis Part I's high notes.

The instrumental The Ytsejam, Puppies on Acid and Take the Time close the first disc of the bootleg. In particular, in The Ytsejam, Mike plays a drum solo, where there is also time for an excerpt from By Demos Be Driven (the song is from Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power studio album).

The second disc is opened by another delicate moment of the evening. I am talking about To Live Forever and Another Day; the last one sounds to take back vocal problems I have already mentioned in Another Day, but the execution of To Live Forever is without any imprecision. To Live Forever is just sublime.

Only a Matter of Time, Pull Me Under and the sweet Eve come before Learning to Live's grand finale. The evening is over and it's time to go home.

Lost in the Sky is one of those bootlegs a Dream Theater fan must have. It is historic for the contest (we're considering the period of Images and Words studio album and Kevin was on keyboards... you know, you may also feel some nostalgia). The setlist is perfect, even if it is not so variable, but I think that who was not at Palasesto in November 15th, 1993, would regret for not being there.

The bootleg can be also found as When Dream and Today Unite and Milan 93. Milan 93 Misses Only a Matter of Time in the tracklist of the concert.
